GENERAL

Welcome to 'coversoftheworld', a site for stamp and cover collectors. Since the launch of our website in September 2006 we have had a number of frequently asked questions which we have tried to answer in the sections below. As well as selling a wide range, we are also interested in buying surplus lots and collections. If the information you require is not included in this page please contact us.

SEARCH

We have created a large number of categories and sub-categories in order to make browsing the site easier. There is a search facility at the top of each main page. Using this could not be easier. Click on the search link and a search box will come up. Now all you need to do is key in the 'Keyword' that you want to search by and then press enter. All the items or categories with the 'keyword' you have just typed in will come up in the results. For example if you collect Flora & Fauna, some of the keywords you may use could be 'animals' , 'plants', 'trees', 'flowers' 'wildlife' etc.

PAYMENT METHODS

We accept payment in a number of ways:

PayPal - Payments by PayPal can be made in Sterling, Euro or US dollars. These payments are made though a gateway on the Paypal Secure Site. All you need to do is click on the 'pay via PayPal online' link and follow the instructions. Once you have completed the details and clicked on the 'Pay' button you will see a thank you message and an opportunity to print a receipt. There is also a button 'Return to Merchant' . You need to click on this button to ensure that the order has been placed. You will see a order number that you may wish to take note of, and a 'Return to Store' button. You need to click the 'Return to Store'  to carry on browsing

Cheques - Payments by cheques in sterling drawn on UK banks are accepted. In the payment options section of the checkout just choose 'Pay via Cheque' and you will then see a screen with the details of the address for sending the cheque to as well as an order number . Please ensure that you print or take note of these.

Cash - We will accept payments in Sterling, Euro or US dollars. Please note that we cannot accept any responsibility for cash sent by post. Cash sent by post at the buyers risk.

Western Union or Moneygram - Payments in sterling will be accepted. During the checkout you may click on the 'Pay viaCheque' button. For the purposes of  Moneygram payments you need to supply them with the following details:- Pay to ' Claro Carrasco' , Address, 1 Jubilee Close, Pinner, Middlesex, HA5 3TB , United Kingdom. Please ensure that your address details are correct and the same as the address that you  Moneygram. If in doubt please email me.

Bank Transfer - All you need to do is click on the 'Pay via transfer BACS' link and follow the instructions. You will then see a screen with the details that you require in order to make the transfer as well as an order number that you may wish to take note of. There is a 'Return to Store' button if you wish to continue browsing.

SHIPPING & HANDLING

We have simplified this process as much as we can. We have created three zones, each with a minimum charge for a particular method of delivery. We then add a small charge for each item that you purchase. This is usually £0.05, (large or heavier items will carry a higher additional charge)
